The UKCAT entry exam is held to help Dental and Medical Schools make their own judgement as to a candidate’s abilities. Most of the applicants have identical exam results or predicted grades which are all well above the basic entry requirements. So now all applicants to study medicine and dentistry in  the UK must sit an exam to gauge their wider skills of reasoning, awareness and communication.
